The experience behind the brand
Years of trade work clarified what was worth building next.
The path to MerchWorthy ran through customer conversations, factories, samples, shipping plans and difficult delivery decisions. Together they showed that a good intention only reaches the recipient when every practical handoff supports it.
01Learning how commercial trust is earned.
International sales taught Cathy that repeat business rarely comes from a product alone. Buyers remember whether someone understood the real request, saw the risk early and stayed responsible when the project became complicated.
02Building across the customer and supply sides.
Nearly six years running a photography-accessories trading business expanded that view. Market testing, overseas customer visits, supplier work, quality planning and cross-border delivery all became part of the same task: turn an idea into something another person can confidently receive.
03Choosing work with a purpose worth carrying through.
When the category narrowed into repetition and price competition, the next step became personal. Cathy wanted the following decade to contribute more than interchangeable objects: to help businesses turn care, appreciation, welcome and recognition into merchandise that arrives with its meaning intact.
