Start without a product list

Tell us enough to begin narrowing.

A few clear signals are more useful than a long catalog of possibilities. Share what is already known and mark the rest as open.

Already know the product and operational details?

The Project Brief route is built for buyers who are ready to share a defined quantity, budget, date and delivery plan.

Bring the reason. We’ll narrow the directions.

You do not need a finished product list to begin. Tell us who the merchandise is for, what the moment needs to accomplish and what limits are already known.

When this route is useful

You know the project matters. The product choice is still open.

A shortlist is most useful before individual products begin competing for attention. It turns the business context into a smaller, more workable field of possibilities.

01

The audience is clear.

You know who should receive the merchandise and what they are likely to carry, use or keep nearby.

02

The moment has a purpose.

There is a launch, welcome, event, relationship or campaign goal, even if the physical format has not been chosen.

03

The options feel too broad.

You want a credible starting set with reasons and tradeoffs instead of another unfiltered catalog.

A more useful exchange

A few project signals become a focused decision.

The input can be concise. The value comes from connecting those facts before recommending objects, materials or packaging.

You shareProject context
  1. 01Who will receive it and where it may enter their routine
  2. 02The occasion, business objective or response you hope to create
  3. 03Known quantity, budget, timing and delivery boundaries
  4. 04Any brand cues, excluded categories or early preferences
We shapeDecision-ready directions
  1. 01A deliberately small set of product and presentation routes
  2. 02A clear reason each route belongs in this particular project
  3. 03Branding and packaging possibilities worth validating next
  4. 04Open questions that could change feasibility, cost or timing
What the shortlist is designed to do

Make the next decision smaller—and better informed.

The first direction set is not a wall of products. It is a comparison tool that helps the buyer see which route deserves deeper development.

01Fit

A product family with a reason to belong.

Each direction connects use, audience and project purpose rather than relying on novelty alone.

Audience · setting · retention logic
02Expression

A credible way for the brand to appear.

Placement, material, color and packaging are considered as part of the object—not added as an afterthought.

Brand visibility · material · presentation
03Reality

The questions that must be resolved next.

The shortlist identifies what requires supplier validation, sampling or a buyer decision before a route can advance.

Quantity · cost · timing · delivery
Curation begins the project

The selected direction continues into a finished result.

MerchWorthy stays with the work after the shortlist. The chosen route is refined, checked and produced within the confirmed project scope.

01

Choose the route

Compare the strongest directions and identify what should move into validation.

02

Verify the details

Confirm product, material, decoration, quantity, packaging and delivery feasibility.

03

Approve the proof

Review the appropriate artwork, sample or physical evidence before production release.

04

Complete the merchandise

Coordinate production, presentation packing, assembly and the agreed delivery route.

Shortlist boundary

This is an entry into a MerchWorthy merchandise project. It does not include unrestricted factory identities, production specifications, tooling files or a production-ready sourcing package for transfer to another supplier. Final price, MOQ, materials, testing, timing and delivery remain subject to project-specific validation and Cathy’s approval.

Before you begin

Curated shortlist FAQ.

These answers explain what this starting point includes, where its boundaries sit and when another route is more appropriate.

Do I need to know which products I want?
No. This path is designed for buyers who know the people, occasion or business objective but have not settled on the merchandise. That context is enough to begin narrowing appropriate directions.
What will the first shortlist include?
The first response concentrates the project around a small number of credible product and presentation directions. It explains why each direction may fit, what still needs to be decided and which practical questions could affect execution.
Is a curated shortlist the same as a quote?
No. A shortlist helps select the direction. Price, quantity, materials, customization, testing, packaging, timing and delivery are confirmed after the relevant option has been checked against the project requirements.
Can the shortlist be sent to another supplier for production?
The shortlist is the beginning of a MerchWorthy merchandise project, not a transferable sourcing package. Factory identities, production specifications, tooling files and production-ready documents are developed only within a confirmed project scope.
What if I already have a clear product idea?
Use the Project Brief route when the product, quantity, budget, timing or delivery plan is already reasonably clear. That route gathers the operational details needed to evaluate execution.
What happens after a direction is chosen?
MerchWorthy verifies the relevant product, decoration, packaging and delivery path. Sampling, production, assembly and quality-control coordination then proceed according to the approved project scope.
